The goal for the McLaren P1™ was clear: to be the best driver's car in the world on road and track. To achieve this, McLaren has called on its 50 years of Course experience and success; the résultat is a car that is as magical to behold as it is to drive.

2012 Ferrari F12berlinetta

Ferrari's fastest road car ever is also a car that can be your daily driver, provided, of course, that you can afford it. Exquisitely engineered, the F12 berlinetta will handily beat an Enzo or 599 GTO on the track. Yet all that power is refined; the 730 bhp and 509 lb-ft of torque are delivered in a manner that is calculated and smooth to the point of simplicity. That's not to say its 0-60 time of 3.1 seconds or its top speed of 211 mph is any less exciting, it just means that the fun factor translates into a slightly more sophisticated feel than that of a track car. This V-12 sounds superb from idle to redline, and its power Livraison is ferocious at any RPM.

Just being in the presence of an Aventador is enough to make one feel regal. Driving this mad bull can be likened to finding Elvis and winning the lottery… on the same day; thrilling, fortuitous, and maybe a bit surreal. The Aventador exudes sensual power, drop dead beauty, and performance numbers that seem derived from NASA blueprints. This is a bareknuckle brawler of a supercar, brandishing 700 bhp et plus than 500 foot/lbs. of torque. When you think of Pagani cars, it's natural to think of craftsmanship, performance, and a Platonic ideal of automotive beauty. All of those elements come together in the Pagani Huayra, the latest supercar from Horacio Pagani, and perhaps his most compelling automotive vision yet. It's easy to get lost in the visual elements—the gullwing doors or those audacious rear view mirrors. The same goes for the interior—a lush mixture of aluminum, leather, and fine Swiss craftsmanship (for the dashboard instruments). The Huayra has been a long time in the making—Pagani began work on the car in 2003. But, like all works of art—automotive or otherwise—true beauty takes time.

Currently driven by Ryan Hunter-Reay in the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series, the 2013 Chevrolet #1 Andretti Autosport Dallara weighs roughly 700kgs, and sports twin turbo V6s capable of putting out just under 700hp & 12000rpm. This incredible feat of engineering is capable of reaching 230mph when in its Oval trim, meaning lightning reflexes and reaction times are a must if you hope to have even a chance of taming it out on the track.
